I am going to run through the list of items and the individual prices. The Manager said that he would check on how much they have for donations and discounts and get back with me within a week. I think he will call in a few days. If I haven't heard by Sunday I will go back in.
This is the run down.
Paint white flat for a 5 gallon is 40.00, for a 5 gallon of egg shell 53.00
The cheapest paint trays were 77 cents each. Rollers for a pack of 3 is 7.97,the paint rollers themselves were around 6.00, you can buy cheap sets with a brush included for around 10.00.
They had red rosin paper that was pretty thick for 11.97 ,36x160 ft.,Builders brown paper, 35x140' for 10.97, the white plastic was 35.98 for 8x100', 18.98 for 10x25',and 98.00 for 20x100' black. They also had clear for 59.98 ,10x 100' .
The clamp on lights were 7.89 that actually had a big clamp and large silver hood. There were some smaller ones that could be sat on something for around 9.95 and small clamp black was 12.97
Nice canvas drop cloths were 21.98 for the largest size which is 9x12'
Extension cords white 12' long are 2.58 and power strips are 3.27
I think that does it for prices. I will post as soon as I get a call about discounts and such. David the night manager ask when we would need all the supplies and I said my Nov. 10th. If there is anything else , questions or information from there let me know. I live pretty close so it is not a problem to go by.

I'll price the paint at Walmart when I'm there tomorrow. I know they have big 5 gallon things too. And I'll price the canvas. I didn't get out of class till 9 today and it was pouring by the time I hit Corydon.
ReplyDeleteThe power strip is a good idea, didn't think of that yesterday. We'll probably need a few. Also after reconsidering the extension cords, they should be black, so we can run them up over the grid and not be visible against the black ceiling. I hope he can come up with donations, but if not, these prices are not bad. Thanks Jerrye, keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteJerrye, I'll be over there later today. I'm wondering if he'll do price matching on things? If we get prices from some place like Walmart or the place Jeremy is talking about if he can't 'discount' can they price match? Walmart does that with any ad.
ReplyDeleteI feel that our best bet now is to run with Home Depot because my feeling is that they will either make a nice donation or give us a good discount. He seemed pretty interested but needed to check on funding. I would assume that the black extension cords would be the same price. I also left the card at Prestons, go figure, and I am hoping that someone picked it up. ???????

ReplyDeleteI have the papers signed and ready to give back to you Brian. I have not heard from Home Depot. I think I will give him until tomorrow night and then I will call to see if he knows anything yet. I don't want to seem annoying but I think a polite call would not hurt or maybe a quick visit.
